Mercedes-Benz-compatible audio kits: Focal expands its range
Focal expands its range of Mercedes-Benz-compatible audio kits. A leader in the global audio sector, French brand Focal unveils its new speaker drivers and subwoofers, compatible with the latest generations of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. These products allow drivers to replace their original system with a Focal alternative, offering easy-to-install hi-fi sound, without any vehicle modifications. With these new premium options, the brand’s “Focal Inside” offering stands out as a market leader for Plug & Play kits, with its range covering more than 40 car manufacturers (including BMW, Toyota, Tesla, Volkswagen) and compatible with over 800 vehicles.
THREE NEW PRODUCTS
Launched in 2021, the Focal Inside kits for Mercedes- Benz vehicles already include a component kit, a coaxial kit, a central speaker, a surround kit specifically for satellite locations, and a pair of subwoofers. In 2024, Focal is stepping up this range to keep up with developments in the automotive market, and has revealed three new products that are compatible with the latest vehicle models released by the manufacturer, including the C-Class: two component and coaxial kits – IS MBZ 100 v2 and IC MBZ 100 v2 – made in France, and one pair of subwoofers – ISUB MBZ LHD v2 (for left-hand drive). The ICC MBZ 100 central speaker, meanwhile, is compatible with all Mercedes-Benz models. With this complete offer, drivers are guaranteed to find a hi-fi solution that is perfectly suited to their last generation vehicle.
FLAX TECHNOLOGY: AN ULTRA- REAL LISTENING EXPERIENCE
The Component and coaxial kits feature Flax technology, exclusive to Focal. Made from French linen, the Flax cone is made in the brand’s own workshops in Saint-Étienne. It is praised around the world for the quality of sound reproduction it delivers. In addition, the aluminium inverted dome tweeter included in the component kit provides a sharp treble and enhanced sound spatialisation, while the heavier Polyglass cone in the subwoofers delivers deep bass.
