Tim Reeves, forum stalwart and Mancunian electronics student has just scored the biggest-ever swag in Talk Audio History!
Fully £1,000 – worth of prize, Tim was told he could choose anything he wanted from the whole gamut of fabby Harman Kardon ordnance. Being our kind of dude, he chose just One Pair Of Speakers.

A superb set of JBL LS40 stand mount speakers of enormous beauty and great power and accuracy. I gather that there are not many held in stock in the UK as they are a high ticket item and so they had to be ordered in from the JBL European hub of operations and then await a shipment consolidation.
So although Tim scored the Swag before Christmas it has taken until now for him to take delivery. I also waited until I could catch up with him in London as he was down from Uni.

We drove over to deepest Surrey to hand over the prized items and catch his reaction on video.


So what did he do? Well, for one, he bothered to mither his tutor as to the best way to arrange a set of LEDs for use on a car cigar lighter adapter. Which once delivered to me, as a list to purchase from RS components, was duly purchased and after four insane hours of fiddly soldering turned into the bulkiest set of Christmas lights you have ever seen for use in a car and they will be brought out every year in Max Naffness for ever hence!
But what was the clincher was his performance within the huge news piece that was done to find a replacement for Pure Sex on A 12V Battery – the original tagline that was spake by a chap called Pete Newall about a great big huge amp called Colossus made by HiFonics.
The line he came up with is right on the front page and will be for the foreseeable:
