Modified Nationals Mobile Drips with Sponsors
The No Limits Events folks, organisers of the Modified Nationals car show May @ the East of England Showground) have had their promo pimpmobile out on tour, spreading the word at shop open days and legal cruises. The Promo car is also used on the flyer and posters and show advertising.
It’s an ’02 Celica with the APR GT300 body kit fitted. The front wings and rear arches are 45mm wider than standard. Painted by the guys at Elite Bodyworx in Hull in House of Kolor Tangerine over BC11 with Ice Pearl added for the ‘sparkle’ effect. The Hanzo wheels are supplied by DOTZ and are 8.5in x 19 on the front and 9.5in x 19 on the rear.
The exhaust is supplied and fitted by Exhausts UK and is a phat twin pipe Cobra Sport system. ICE is by Fusion and consists of four 12in Subs and five amps with component speakers & a Fusion head unit. The install was designed and built by Mark Needham himself with graphics by Creative Designs.
The sponsor list covers a healthy range of supplier types from the Vodka Kick guys to Fusion as audio brand sponsors, with http://www.caraudiosecurity.com/ as retail partners (expect absurd stock-clearance prices at the show from one of the biggest players) DOTZ, POTN, Autoglym, and House of Kolor cover the car and care side.
Exhibitors will include the Midbass brands of Vibe, Fli & Edge with latest confirmed ice companies being Kenwood, who are bringing their Huets’ Sirocco and two others; a fabby 206 and a Golf Mk3 in yellow. “We’ll have a stonking stand!” said Kenwood’s James Howe. JBL, (recent Talk Audio Triple Whammy winners) and Digital Designs, makers of insane weapons-grade woofers, are also lined up.
Ian Iceman Pinder’s is due to be gracing the Talk Audio awning. This time not as a ‘launch’ but after the legend has been carved deeper and him getting a Fast Car magazine Lifetime Achievement award! DO NOT MISS THIS! A new 2.5 V6 Calibra engine and four PowerMaster 300A alternators are the latest things for him. And of course come along and have a nag with TA types…
All the exhibitors will be showing new cars only ever seen in the mags, some dozen or more – we’ll bring you the latest when we know ‘zackly. For now, I can tell you that Fusion will have an Alien-Green Focus RS.
The Max Power Babe contest” looks to be a hoot and I get to present the rolling road BHP competition. As the Audio Control folks say, “Take it Out & Measure It!” I expect folks to be coughing up gearboxes. It’ll be all hydrocarbons and Testosterone!
Always brilliant even if it rains, there is plenty that’s under cover, from the main show hall to the all new indoor karting track created by Peterborough Raceway.
See you there, girls….
Addendum:
Both dB Drag and EMMA competitions are going to be held at the show, so there will be some savage bass to hear in folks’ cars as well as marvelling at the £20,000 super sound quality installs and don’t forget that Car Audio Security will be selling mad ice bargains throughout, too…..
