Talk Audio – Making Adam Rayner Look Slim Since 2000
I feel guilty for being so upset at having some small rain ingress issues in my home and lean-to where I keep the clothes drier when some have lost everything they own in Cockermouth to torrential downpours. Plus, I left the car window open all night by a few inches, soaking it inside and just blatantly blamed my wife who has left the window open a bit lately….but it was me, so I am roiled in guilt, shame and misery this Monday morning.
Hey Welcome To The Real World, Fat Bloke!
I do have some fun and cool stuff to be getting on with, though. For one, I will be having a re-write of stuff for the new ENTEC Sound & Light Website, who are one of the rock n’roll touring companies I did some freelancing for in the past, first as humper-roadie-cable-coiler and also for a spell in their office. Phoning up R.E.M.’s management all cheery youthful enthusiasm, trying for their tour sound and lighting rig rental gig, bloody cracked the rest of the office up at the time as R.E.M.’s management were just as dour and uncheery as their pre-Shiny Happy People band persona.
Also, I have had an interesting bit of woodwork arrive at last! It’s a box with an ‘ole in it. A square one for one of these I have here to review, an MTX Square Thunder T812S-44. I am going to put away the fabulous Bazooka tube and the bonkers little Nanoblock amp from Massive audio (two of these tubes and an N2 would be a marriage made in heaven!) and then re-fit the Talk Audio Reference Bass Amp back into the rig on its fat one over gauge power wires and then fit the behemoth to the gert big box. Heck, I think it’s worth a video clip, too!
With that and calling up roofers to invoke ten year guarantees and all the other stuff I have been bragging about coming up in recent ‘This Weeks’ I’d better get me head down!
