Talk Audio – 90% Installation, 10% Madness

And then it snowed! I will confess to being an utter kid about snow. While I fear the sliding destruction to my car and wish I could get some Icelandic (and utterly UK-illegal) steel-studded snow tyres or else snow chains to pose around with when it gets really chilly. I really need the 4×4 estate Cross Country version of my old boxy Volvo 960 Turbo Estate.
I have actually got the  filming kit out and will be doing an evening shift tonight to get the video shot and will impinge on the webmaster tomorrow to see if I can wedge in on some of his time this Yule. I will confess to having been a bit premature on the Clarion MAP790 front as despite the fact that I have worked out that it is a fast and very capable navigator and have tried the multimedia applications and been impressed by them, the one thing I haven’t checked out is the 3D mapping of landmark buildings. Since I live close enough to London to go see the Christmas lights, we may well go on a drive to see them and see what happens when you get close to say the Houses of Parliament.
I did spend some time on a full pre-Christmas Christmas last week for the in-laws and so was cooking like a nutter and lost some time to shopping (Oh my!) and worst of all, lost out on my chance to get a hold of a £29 night at the Premier Inn nearest to retail temple Bluewater shopping centre. But in fairness, they did waive my non-cancellable £29 as the snow had left such an ice rink in the hotel car park that head office let me off – so I’m an even more faithful Premier Inn punter now. I’m with Lenny on his ad campaign AND his taste in Big Birds!
Well, The Pagan Revel of Yule will be over by the next Monday and it’ll be technically the 53rd week of a year! 2010 finishes on a Friday….
So here is this week’s ‘This Week’ a bit late and I’m off to go clear more snow and salt the drive and make those promised videos!
