Week Eleven – it’s JBL Heaven!
Regular readers will know that I am also a home AV reviewer on Home Cinema Choice magazine, where they say of me me, “The UK’s foremost expert on extreme audio. Adam likes bass, HiFi and cartoons.” And as well as enjoying reviewing some of the most amazing bits of kit in car electronics, I get to play with some fabulous bits of stuff in the home cinema field as well. We have had Harman, the UK JBL in-car folks as site associates for some time and have seen some of their higher end equipment in reviews as they are the JBL and Infinity people. So it can’t hurt to know that your in-car electronics reviewer gets to review mad-end cinema stuff as well, from another Harman division up to the value of £50,000 – odd pounds of JBL Synthesis self-EQing cinema wonder in this case!
I swear I get guilt attacks getting paid to check this stuff out as I know there are a few readers who would give a bollock for the chance to do what I do!
Meanwhile, that’s Thursday and I have to get the Vibe Delta Box Bass generator review written and up and get at a whole heap of other stuff I’m behind with. Do check out the video in the pane this week as it is all about the future of high end in modern production cars and has an element of proper hope for the niche that is ours here on Talk Audio. The far future of custom ICE won’t just be horrible old rusty heaps. New cars WILL be able to have posh after market head units placed in them, even if you have to install half a new dashboard from Connects2 to do it! I have video clips of thejoose swagging a new headunit and other stuff to weave into a bit of a show news item from the Autosound & Styling Show in Stoneleigh park recently as well, so…
I’ll go get on then.
