Integrate The New Motorola TK30

The latest Motorola TK30 Bluetooth hands-free kit looks to be gaining popularity in the market; especially among the professional and business user sector. With installers typically finding many of their customer’s cars being newer and sometimes more prestigious brands, the installer needs to offer a ‘full’ integration package instead of just the basic hands-free display. Helping the specialist installer get one step ahead, Connects2 has developed two new interface options to get the most from the Motorola TK30.

Motorola TK30 Steering Wheel Integration Interface

This simple ‘plug-and-play’ interface allows the user to answer, end and reject calls, all from the factory buttons on the steering wheel. Using the Connects2 interface, users can scroll through voice menus as well as dialling, and the user’s full phonebook is available on the TK30 screen. For optimum conversational sound quality, the call audio is played through four of the vehicle speakers through the TK30 integrated 4x15W amplifier.  This is an added bonus when it comes to music playback. The TK30 can act as a USB music player, using the TK30 display for track information, as well as working superbly as an iPod interface too. Currently the Connects2 TK30 Steering Wheel Integration Interface is available for the common platform models from Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW.

Motorola TK30 Display Integration Interface

As well as giving the obvious benefits of steering wheel controls of the TK30 functions mentioned above, adding the display functionality is the ultimate in factory integration, keeping driver’s eyes closer to the road. For those cars that use a dash information display between the speedometer and rev counter, this Connects2 module can transform the display to replicate the TK30 display contents. The factory vehicle display now becomes the TK30 screen, able to host all the hands-free and music playback information. The full user’s phonebook can be scrolled on the dash, along with the track and audio information if the TK30 is used as a USB player or iPod interface. The caller ID, track information and song titles are all displayed too.
Of course the audio playback and hands-free conversation is delivered in high quality, through all four car speakers using the integrated 4x14W amplifier, as opposed to many systems still only using two channels. This latest interface is easy fit, with no wire cuts: simply plug-and-play. Connnects2 has developed the Steering Wheel and Display Integration Interface to fit Audi, Citroen, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault, Vauxhall and VW vehicles, both large and small.
