When the aftermarket has many double DIN DVD, multimedia and navigation head units, there’s no shortage of customer awareness, all wanting the latest features, but not all of them can afford the price tag that’s often well into four figures. The new budget-friendly BEAT N1 offers all the features of the big name brands, but at a price every customer can afford, but without the compromise of buying an unknown brand from a less than proven source. High-Resolution, ‘Picture-In-Picture’ Split Screen Innovation
In this no-compromise head unit, the N1 boasts a full-size 6.95in screen using the latest high-resolution 800×480 pixel LCD technology for a clearer picture and detailed navigation. Unlike many more expensive systems, the N1 uses split screen functionality to display both navigation and an AV source at the same time. This way the mapping info is available to the driver while the car passengers can view any of N1’s audio or AV source simultaneously.

The TMC-equipped TeleAtlas navigation that comes with the new BEAT N1 covers Western Europe and also features the latest 3D city and Point of Interest (POI) mapping, where supported.

BEAT N1 Plays It All
To provide entertainment on the move, the new BEAT N1 supports all the popular current audio and movie formats. The internal deck plays CD and DVD discs and supports VCD, DivX, WMA, JPEG, MP4 and MP3 track playback. Using a USB input, the BEAT N1 is both iPod and iPhone ready – without the need for an add-on interface – as well as offering an auxiliary input and an SD card input too.
Bluetooth Hands-Free And Wireless Music Streaming
Unlike many more expensive double DIN units, the new BEAT N1 doesn’t need an external interface to handle hands-free: the BEAT N1 comes with Bluetooth audio and hands-free support as standard. Calls can be made from the touchscreen along with all the driver’s data from their phone book available on the BEAT N1 screen. The N1 features a built-in microphone and uses the latest noise cancellation technology to ensure the best clarity of conversation on the move without road or tyre noise. Again, unlike many more expensive units, the BEAT N1 features A2DP wireless audio playback for passengers to use their Bluetooth music device (including iPhone) to play tracks through the N1 from anywhere in the vehicle.
