Week Thirty-Six – Chris’s Toys Are In The Mix

Regular readers will know that we are recently bereaved of our man Chris ‘HarryBo’ Taylor, who was a hugely important part of the way Talk Audio developed over the years. The reason for the delay in posting this week’s column was a day spent driving off to pay respects to his family and close friends at his funeral. It was a privelige to be there but all a bit hard to cope with as they played Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain intro – as used by the BBC Formula 1 coverage for so long – as the curtains were closed. Funerals are always so tough when the person had so short a time.
I can tell you that a fund has been set up in Chris’s name at the Diabetes UK charity and that all of Chris’s high value chattels, from a 42 inch plasma to his Mazda MX5, to a pair of highly-wrung Genesis mini monoblock amplifiers custom built for Chris to drive a set of horns, are to be auctioned here on Talk Audio by way of a simple thread and with some details here on the magazine. I’ll let you know more when I do. Meanwhile, the best thing to do under the circumstances is to get head down and engrossed in some more tech and tell you guys about it. Chris’d want me to do nothing else.
I’ll go get on then….
