IVA-W520R – New Alpine Double DIN with Pulse Touch Screen

These days, the electronics companies tend to release their kit at different times throughout the year as they are made ready, rather than waiting for a huge single yearly product launch. I imagine it means the new machines can go on sale all the sooner. This double-DIN Mobile Media Station has hit the warehouses already and looks like a corker.
It features the Alpine Pulse Touch screen technology which for me is the finest touch screen tech around as it actually offers you some biofeedback when you press a control, rather than the whole device buzzing like a Samsung phone, or no feedback at all like most all other touch screens. Once, when asked a long time ago (at Live ’96) about future technology, I predicted the touch screen’s takeover and the Pulse Touch with biofeedback.
I am old enough to have been at school when the wonder of the pocket calculator appeared and there were issues with multiple button presses of numbers, which led to the development of the switch with breakout force, or a click to confirm operation, so this genuinely is cleverer display tech than Apple for me
