Huets-Installed Asahi Truck Goes To Ibiza!
How’s this for a thoroughly cool job? You get a serious huge-engined USA style Toyota truck, take it to Huets The In Car Specialists on the south coast and then get them to install a sexy JL Audio sound system in it, around a beer dispensing professional bar-pump.
Then, you drive it down through Europe and take a ferry to Ibiza to groove about at the clubs’ great end-of season events, dispensing beer and music to promote a brand of tasty Japanese beer Asahi. Lucky stiffs! I have a hotline to the lads doing just this and have some details on their epic drive to Ibiza.
Here’s their story so far..
‘We are in the Spanish town of Denia at the moment, awaiting the ferry to take us and the Asahi FJ Cruiser over to Ibiza. Its been an epic journey so far and the Cruiser has been great. We left on Tuesday evening from the Riverbank Park Plaza and drove to Folkestone. We took the ferry over to Calais and drove to Arques where we stayed the night.
We then drove 11 hours to Montpellier via Paris. We stayed the night in Montpellier and continued our journey in the morning to Denia in Spain, which took us the best part of 7 hours. This took us past Barcelona and Valencia. Here are some photos that we have used so far on Twitter.
All together we have clocked up over 1,100 miles.’
Thing is, since they arrived on the island, they seem to be having too much fun to be sending me any more pictures. I can just imagine them partying their butts offand I will bring you some more if we get sent them!
Meanwhile, as we all get back to daily grind after holidays those who had one we can think of these lucky bleeders and their someone-has-to-do-it job.
I think I want an Asahi.
