Week Thirty – Nine: In Which The High End Is Thriving

Bloody hell the Phoenix Gold training was good fun! I’m going to do a little report with the video I took on the night with Morgan West embedded within it. I waited a tad as I had major features – like the Trax report – on the front page and the flow of stuff down the front page before it becomes a part of the dedicated ‘˜More’ pages can be too fast. You want the work to stay current at least a week before it goes ‘˜archive’. Mind you, it’s set at eight stories at the moment, which means lots of ‘˜below the fold’ action, (That’s when you have to scroll down from the page portion that shows upon opening it.) so we may as well up it to ten.
Tomorrow, I am going to snide in some fishing before going off down south to Huets The In-Car Specialists in Shoreham to do the snappery, video and M/C duties for their ice night. We know about some cool demo cars attending to come and get close to. On the emerging DAB front, we have the Kenwood DAB Smart and Celsus’ Range Rover with their retro-fit-to-OE DAB kit. It’s cunning as a weasel. On the sound front, there’s a Toyota Supra with a Kenwood 5.1 surround system and custom boot build. An Audi A3 with a 13w7 in a custom boot, superb Jehnert doors and lots of SPL. A classic Mini with 2x 12w7 which is even louder being driven by two JL Audio 1000/1 amps. The Vibe Focus – nearly as loud as the Mini. The lovely Alpine Passat and the wicked Pioneer Brabus smart with the CDJ digital decks.
Come along and say hello. I’ll be the fat bloke, stupid hat and over stuffed Talk Audio polo top. I’m looking forward to it immensely. (It’s how I do most things)
I have that active Fusion woofer I’ve been threatening to review for some time and a whole collection of twelve incher subwoofers to put in and out of the box from Acoustic Wood and hook up to the big old JBL GTO24001 amplifier. Lots to write up and catch up, so I’ll go get on.
