New Pioneer CD Tuners Keep Drivers Connected

More news on the 2013 range of head units from Pioneer. As with the ones below this story (front page, then news archive&;) they are all a step up in what is on board for the money. What follows is from Pioneer, although I have added links for shopping now if you feel inspired. Now read on&;
Pioneer Europe announces three new multi-format CD tuners that complement strong audio performance with a wide range of connectivity options, including two models that offer direct control of Android devices through a USB connection.
Packing power and performance in abundance, the DEH-2500UI, DEH-1500UB and DEH-150MP feature an MP3/WMA/WAV compatible CD player, an RDS AM/FM tuner and Pioneer’s renowned MOSFET 50W x 4 amplification. A five-Band Graphic Equaliser allows the user to adjust the sound to their car’s interior, while Advanced Sound Retriever technology enhances audio reproduction by restoring data that tends to get lost in the digital compression process, creating a fuller, richer and more enjoyable listening experience. An RCA pre-out -two on the DEH-2500UI- will deliver a clean, powerful signal to additional amplifiers or subwoofers, complete with high- and low-pass crossover filters.

Pioneer’s DEH-2500UB and DEH-1500UB provide direct control of Android devices via USB, whereas the DEH-2500UB adds direct connectivity to iPod or iPhone. The units’ wired USB connection enables direct digital signal transfer from the mobile device for clean, clear sound while providing one whole Ampere of current, keeping mobile devices charged while they’re performing battery-draining tasks. Each of the CD tuner models integrates an Aux-in slot for quick connection to any type of portable device. Design elements like a new glow-in-the-dark USB and Aux-in panel make it easy to locate the inputs at night. A bright white LCD display – one line with twelve characters- shows crystal clear track and radio information at all times.
The DEH-2500UB (£69.99 @ CAD. See link below)

Pioneer’s new CD tuners feature a telephone mute connection which mutes the radio when a telephone is active, as well as a Wired Remote input which enables a direct connection from the tuner to the user’s car’s own steering wheel remote control, so they can control the main functions of the unit safely through the steering wheel remote control. In fact, Pioneer has one of the industry’s largest steering wheel remote interface line-ups on offer, covering hundreds of car models.
The new models are designed and built with careful consideration of air flow, so holes and clearance gaps to release heat are reduced. This results in efficient heat dissipation and prevention of entry of dust that can cause malfunction.
