Kenwood Offer Love, Attention & A Digital Radio with Twig!

Radio, Review And Repast! Regular readers will know that those folks at Kenwood are stalwart supporters of Talk Audio and major league proponents in the lovely push towards digital radio and eventual switchover. I keep on running the dry-as-granola-with-no-milk stories about the digital radio adoption statistics by listenership but the big ‘eff-off’ power hikes in radio transmission power have been worthy news. Two hundred thousand watts is still two hundred thousand watts in any damn medium and we do love a watt.
And as loving as could be, Sensei-San at Kenwood tucked a box of THESE away for us. Fully ten of them, each compete with an antenna to make a full installation, for DAB antennae are not stock on cars. Normally, it’d be an extra and the package is a cool £125 retail value. So, we were thrilled. This is the now familiar Kenwood KDC-DAB455IU.

Working with the Kenwood executive in charge of their social networking, increasingly cool and then daft ideas were come up with to award the first eight, until this really silly one was finally used for NINE, which was MY fault and resulted in these images.

OK, so you scrolled this far
Now the reward. If you want the TENTH and last of this swag’s largesse, the delicious Kenwood KDC-DAB455IU digital radio, then be prepared for a fan’s delight.
Ideally a Kenwood fan or just because you really like car audio and would love to do this, then just ask and the lucky stiff who gets the swag will be invited to Kenwood House for TUESDAY 25th June 2013.
This will be for 11:30am and you’ll be met and greeted by me and Mr. Kenwood and given some time in the executive meeting/press room on the ground floor, just off the atrium with the product displays and then we’ll go have a sojourn in the best listening room in car audio and you can check out the speakers we’ll review right there, followed by sandwiches or Nigiri Sushi in the posh works canteen, depending upon YOUR taste and so which tray I pick up fresh that morning on the way in!
So, Radio, Review And Repast, as well as face time with the Kenwood chap, who happens to be one of the most technically astute and able of any product manager/executive I ever met in the trade and have epic respect for. (MAN is the dude gonna blush when he reads this and how little do I carechortle!)
