Week Twenty- Eight And This Is Damn Late!

With deepest apologies to those for whom no Monday is entirely complete without catching up on Rayner’s rants, like a certain exec at a big UK operation, I admit that this week, I got knackered. For I do a couple of other little strings and the super warm weather meant, along with an unwise use of caffeine, that I got but two hours sleep on Saturday night, was in Reading by seven a.m. and not back home until eight p.m. on Sunday night, having visited twelve fisheries for the Anglers Mail. Ranging from the most gorgeous 200 year old lakes to a place where you can pull a trout out to take home, using a stick with string. I decided NOT to regale the AM readers with THAT one! But, it did mean that after a ‘˜quick’ picture sort attempt, (while I was at risk of still recalling which place was which shot, even WITH timings and a clapper-board image) feeling like wading through treacle up to my neck, that this is only just getting got at.
And I have a backlog of stuff to unpack and film like the InCar Tec USB and aux-input cunning-stunt swag and the ParkSafe Daylight Running Lights. On that front, I have got some really cool news. The dude known as Astro Aza, a bloke called Aaron, who owns a sexy Golf with stupefying bass, and happens to be an Oxford Car Audio local and happy customer, has been swagged the lighting set, with my main men at Oxford Car Audio, poised to install them for us. It’s a valuable swag and will deffo add some street swagger to his chariot.
Slept like a damn spawning carp last night as well, since the lakes-exploring job also leaves you with a brain burbling with fishy images. I can tell you that the going to ten lakes in a day thing on a HOT day (as one likes nice weather for the pics) is the MOST evil test of a navigation and traffic alert system. I get twelve post codes to enter after doing a day of homework and phonecalls, so I do not have to use the terribly nice concierge service I have in the Daddybus with the Trafficmaster SmartNav system. I can tell you that being out of GSM service is a pain as it will NOT simply revert to mindless use of GPS as the SmartNav uses the blue sensors on posts on the ENTIRE UK main road network. Yes, the information from them goes to radio stations but I have got real time dynamic navigation based on the stuff the other systems do not always have. The real-time stream of information for everywhere. And they guard it well. Making the system clever enough NOT to send you into the cloacae of hell of traffic building on a Sunday or Friday night or Monday morning into town? Now that WOULD be damn Smart!
And the Road Angel, which I abusively (almost) refuse to ever take indoors to charge nor reboot and refill with data via USB, has done better this last trip by leaving it ON through each lake visit. Previously, I was rebooting ten times a day and it was getting antsy with me. This time, I gave the internal battery some use, in places I was utterly unlikely to get a Smack-head break my glass to steal it, and it stayed on and didn’t care that it got roasted in the sun all day. Still brilliant. There, fishing work made relevant on Talk Audio.
I have some associates I fancy like Pricey (I admit it I have always been rude about her and she was vile to work with but she was nut-wrenchingly beautiful when I was on Max Power) and am overdue on a pitch. Likewise a couple of promised thank you’s, so I had better get along, especially if I wanna see a Monday publish date I got six minutes!
