Sometimes, I need superb sound quality audio like Andy Blanch’s. His car sounds better than about fifty-grands’ worth of ‘˜home’ HiFi that I have heard in rooms at shows. New Product launch of GZRW 46SPL
Finishing off the Ground Zero series of Radioactive SPL subwoofers is the biggest and most powerful one ever the GZRW 46SPL. This 46cm/18in monster, like the other models in the series, is German engineered for the ‘bass head on a budget’. The 46SPL features a cast aluminium vented basket, painted in Ground Zero’s gloss yellow. The reinforced pressed paper cone is curvilinear for added strength, and it’s stitched to the U-shaped surround with matching yellow thread. Other top end features include a convex IMPP dust cap with embossed logo and a foam gasket, making this SPL woofer easy to mount reversed to show it off. The imposing GZRW 46SPL motor makes an amazing impression. It’s chrome plated and has our stamped logo and wears a PVC magnet boot.
For strength and durability, the 46SPL uses dual Connex spiders to control excursion. Power gets delivered through the black-chrome terminals to the 75mm/3in dual 2 Ohm Copper Clad Aluminium (CCA) voice coils that are wound on an aluminium former for better cooling and strength. Power handling is 2,000 Watts RMS. The Radioactive 46SPL is versatile and works well in sealed, ported and even band pass enclosures, making it perfect for all applications and types of music.
