Target Blue Eye

Regular Talk Audio readers my recall my writing about how I have been out to test a new safety awareness device that can keep you alert to any emergency vehicles near you. It ‘˜reads’ the airwaves using the special radio system frequencies exclusive to emergency vehicles. This is called TETRA, which stands for Terrestrial Trunked Radio and is a digital standard for radio communication used by almost all emergency services in Europe. In the UK, the TETRA network for emergency services is called Airwave.
I can now reveal the product to be the Target Blue Eye.

While out testing, we went past the ambulance station in Queensbury, Middlesex and it showed the ambulances’ systems were right on top of us. This means parked ones with radios still live, not the station itself. Also, on a high street hill down from Wembley to the North Circular road that legendary thoroughfare with the Ace Café on it – we had another ambulance with the lights on, appear way behind us and it whooshed past the traffic. We were warned before other road users around us had seen the lights in the far distance. In time, we had to pull sideways and STOP right in a yellow box and everything, to let it flow onwards. That we knew it was needing to be looked out for from before seeing their lights, let alone hearing their siren, as the proximity system had gone off to five LEDs a good bit beforehand, was excellent.
It was truly effective at doing what it said.
Now as well as helping to tell drivers to get the hell out of an ambulance’s way, it’ll also enable you to get fatherly warnings of police vehicles in case of misbehaviour out on the motorway. Even a Micra by Nissan can get a speeding ticket on the Motorway, since as well as having a safety camera GPS map based detector-indicator device on board, like the Road Angel stuff, this device, the Target Blue Eye, will serve to remind you to pay attention as ‘˜teacher’ is nearby.

I was a terrible chatterer in class and yes, I do need that admonitory presence to keep me from not paying attention to my rate of general progress when driving on motorways. My thrusting approach to life just wants me THERE. A radar and laser detector would also help but this doodad will remove the Klingon Cloaking Device of the unmarked patrol interceptor cars as well. If they have a radio to talk to other officers and base, then they will show up on this device like a candle in a cave.
I am going to try one in my own car as well as the test car we went out in. I know that the installer folks I do Morel Mondays with, are already interested, as so very many of the cars they work on are monstrously powerful.
The distributor is NOT looking for lots of dealers but if you have a customer base who own cars likely to get them into trouble for a moment’s lack of attention to speed, then the device is like having someone sat next to you saying, ‘Oi! Less of it, Mate!’
If you think you and yours might be the right stuff, (It’s going to be about a £1,200, retail fitted) then get onto me and I will put you in touch. I certainly think I need that Big Brotherly presence to keep my general attention focussed. Now, I will be having one.
The maker’s (Dutch auto-translating brilliance of a..) website is here: Link but ordering in the UK will be best requested of THIS operation. Synergy Automotive
You read it here first. This is a MASSIVE leap forwards in electronics safety measures.
