ALPINE SIGN UP SPONSORSHIP WITH EMMA

In a continuing process of improvement, a thing called Kaizen in Japan, the EMMA or European Mobile Multimedia Association has signed up Alpine Electronics as their newest sponsor of the UK sound off scene. The dotted line has been inked! Along with Alpine branding, I gather from my source that a headunit is to be given away. A CDE-177BT no less, at the very next round of the EMMA sound off series at the Modified Nationals. At time of writing, we have no idea even what that contest shall be to win it and the official news is as yet unreleased…SCOOP!
Sound off in the UK continues to just get better and better. Despite the ‘˜mainstream’ industry’s demise as in, your dad is unlikely to go get a new radio for his new car versus the one that is in it- the hobbyist and the expert installer alike have never been so vigorous, well supported or talented.
And it looks like the general awareness of aftermarket customisation as a good rather than a pejorative thing is itself evolving, as more and more USA culture comes into our homes via new television. This is a whole trend that nobody, anywhere has commented upon yet. I am about to have to run ANOTHER top job opportunity on the site! The top outfits are working as hard as anything and needing new blood.
So we never had it so good. Meanwhile, the baddest single SPL car and one of the ultimate top SQ cars in competition in the UK, BOTH use Alpine decks, as reported here: link
