Celsus Honoured By JL Audio Global Award

Always good to hear that the companies we deal with here on Talk Audio are doing well. We had this item of news in. Wherein JL Audio’s George Jenkins, whom I met in Miami, flew to the UK to present the chaps with an award. What follows is their press release:
In car entertainment specialists Celsus ICE have won JL Audio’s prestigious worldwide ‘˜Distributor of the Year’ award after showing ‘˜unquestionable commitment’ to the popular US audio brand during 2013.
George Jenkins, Vice President of International Sales for JL Audio, visited Poole to present the award to delighted staff, saying: ‘Distributor of the year comes as a result of Celsus’ hard work. We could not ask to work with a better partner; it is the people behind our excellent product that really make the difference, flourishing results in the UK and Europe make it obvious Celsus reflect this.’
Celsus, who have distributed JL Audio for five years, generated strong sales growth domestically and with strengthening European exports through an established overseas distribution network.
In the UK, Celsus masterminded a marketing and promotions plan utilising social media and in-store promotional activity to drive distributor sales up 25%. Ten top performing UK customers were later rewarded with a trip to JL Audio’s Miami HQ, immersing themselves in training and product news. (This was the trip Adam got to tag along with)
‘Our business is honoured to receive such a prestigious award,’ said Celsus Managing Director Paul Baker. ‘We have a fantastic network of retailers who are focussed and driven; we must thank them for their support of Celsus and JL Audio.’
Both businesses agreed the outlook is bright. Paul Baker praised his team before speaking of ‘˜great opportunity’ for the future business relationship before George concluded: ‘This award is for what has been achieved in 2013, however, I am most pleased knowing Celsus’ continued professionalism and enthusiasm will provide future growth as well.’
