Week Twenty-Nine – A Week Away With Lochs, Pikes, Fells & Glens.

As I sit and type upon my Galaxy S4, it is nearly the middle of a dreecht Cumbrian night. The green flashing glow of the battery pack I wheedled at the CES in Las Vegas last January is dulling and turning to amber and now red. The gentle snoring of MeJulie, resonates. And the sotto voce muted roar of Great Langdale Beck just the other side of the doors of our balcony, purrs. I have seen trout and a Water Ouzel or Dipper and pond skaters on a pool of trapped water in the rocks.

For yes, we are taking a short break. The driving has been fun… we even did a 25% or 1-in-4 gradient on my nice new brakes…I will be away and swinging from four poster bed frames and eating anything not tied down or else moving slowly enough for me to catch… this week. Drive safely in the meanwhile.
