Pioneer wins two EISA awards for VSX-924 AV-receiver & AVIC-F60DAB navi-media system
Pioneer is proud to announce that both the VSX-924 AV-receiver and the AVIC-F60DAB in-car navigation/media system were awarded by the EISA -the European Imaging And Sound Association.
EISA is the world’s most prestigious multimedia magazines association, which consists of fifty special interest magazines from twenty European countries. In June each year, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which of the products they analysed in their publications during the past year, deserve the coveted EISA Award. The six categories under consideration are: Audio, Video, Home Theatre, Photography, In-Car Electronics and Mobile Devices.
VSX-924 AV-Receiver
The EISA jury awarded the VSX-924 AV-Receiver with the prestigious ‘˜European Home Theatre Receiver 2014-2015’ title. The EISA jury described the performance and feature set of the VSX-924 thus:
‘A home theatre receiver that offers excellent value, Pioneer’s VSX-924 is packed with up to date technologies, providing enthusiasts with HDMI 2.0/4K compatibility with 18 Gbps bitrates and 4:4:4 colour sampling. This potent video stage is matched by Pioneer’s signature sound. AVIC-F60DAB Navi-Media System
The AVIC-F60DAB, the all-new double DIN Navigation AV-System, was awarded by the EISA Jury as the ‘˜European in-car Navi-Media System 2014-2015’. The EISA described the AVIC-F60DAB thus:
‘Pioneer’s AVIC-F60DAB is the most complete head unit on the market. It accepts content from a wide range of sources and has an excellent smartphone connection as well as modern, high-tech MHL/HDMI input ports. Smartphone control also allows users to enjoy Pioneer’s AppRadio Mode, and MirrorLink to use phone applications via the capacitive multi-touch 7 inch monitor. The system is also ready to accept Apple’s new CarPlay standard, and features an integrated sound processor and a digital radio tuner that includes time shift functionality.
For navigation accuracy the AVIC-F60DAB makes use of a complete MEMS 9-axis sensor set with gyro, accelerometer, motion tracking and compass. This is the best navi-media system to appear on the market today, offering more features and functions than ever before.’

RE-INVENTED: SINGLE DIN CAR STEREO SYSTEMS
Pioneer introduces eight new CD-tuner car audio systems, seven of which can be fitted in a single DIN slot, one is designed to fit in a double DIN space. All of these devices include innovative technologies and come with a truly competitive feature set.
The DEH-4700BT, DEH-X5700BT and the FH-X720BT are equipped with extensive Bluetooth options, making it possible to keep two Bluetooth phones connected simultaneously, eliminating the need to switch between the users’ business and personal phone. The units also allow for streaming and browsing music over Bluetooth from an iPhone or Android phone. Improved MIXTRAX technology included in several new DEH-devices, as well as in the FEH double DIN unit, mixes the users’ favourite tracks like a pro DJ. Regardless of the genre, MIXTRAX will work it out. Other novelties are compatibility with lossless FLAC files, USB smartphone charging, USB fast browsing speed and improved wide angle LCD displays with LED backlight and improved contrast ratio.

DEH-1700UB – Entry Level
The DEH-1700UB* is the new entry level model in the DEH series. However, it is equipped with an RDS FM tuner and a CD-drive, which reads regular CDs, as well as CD-r/rw discs with WMA, MP3 and WAV files. It also has a USB-input, which can be used to connect an Android smartphone or another USB device. Using the USB port, the DEH-1700UB also supports high-quality FLAC playback. To ensure that other, compressed files sound their best, the DEH-1700UB is equipped with Advanced Sound Retriever technology and a high-end 24 bit DAC. Power to the speakers is delivered by a 4×50 Watt MOSFET amplifier. If more power is needed, an extra amplifier or subwoofer can easily be added. The wide angle LCD display with LED backlight shows all relevant information in an attractive and easy to read fashion.
*The DEH-1700UBG is the same device as the DEH-1700UB, but has green illumination and black backing. The DEH-1700UBB has red illumination and blue backing.
DEH-2700UI – USB with iPod/iPhone Direct Control & FLAC
Complementary to the RDS FM tuner and the CD-drive, the new DEH-2700UI car stereo system also has a USB port which offers iPod and iPhone Direct Control. This way, it’s possible to search and select artists, albums and playlists on the iPod/iPhone, directly from the DEH-2700UI; all while the iPod/iPhone is being charged. The USB port can also be used to connect an Android smartphone or another USB device and the DEH-2700UI is compatible with WMA, MP3 and WAV files and even with high-quality FLAC files.
The unit has a powerful 4×50 watt MOSFET amplifier, while two stereo RCA output ports enable additional connection of one or two amplifiers for even more speaker power or to drive subwoofers.
DEH-X3700UI – MIXTRAX & RGB Colour Customisation
The DEH-3700UI combines an RDS FM tuner with a CD mechanism and extensive USB connectivity options with iPod and iPhone Direct Control. Android smartphones and other USB devices can also be connected to the USB port. The unit plays WMA, MP3, and WAV files and has two RCA stereo outputs to connect extra amplifiers for, say, subwoofers. The Colour Customisation feature allows the user to change both the screen and button illumination colours as they wish with 210,000 RGB colours to choose from. The DEH-X3700UI also offers Pioneer’s famous MIXTRAX technology, creating non-stop, dynamic mixes for the perfect on-road soundtrack.
DEH-4700BT & DEH-X5700BT Extensive Bluetooth Options
Both the DEH-4700BT and the DEH-X5700BT come with extensive Bluetooth options, such as the possibility to connect two smartphones at the same time, so users don’t have to switch between their business and personal phones. This function can also be used to connect a passenger’s phone without having to disconnect the driver’s phone. When Bluetooth is used for audio streaming, the Wireless Audio function (AVRCP 1.5) allows for music browsing and playing, both on Android and iOS devices. Thanks to the Wide Band Speech technology, which doubles the speech frequency range, users can be heard clearly when using the hands free function. Both devices also feature Media App Control for iOS and Android, allowing users to use music apps on their smartphone and enjoy listening through the car stereo. Siri Eyes Free allows access to many iPhone functions using voice commands, such as selecting music, making calls, creating text messages and much more. Both devices are equipped with an RDS FM tuner, a CD mechanism and of course, the full 4×50 Watts built-in.

The sleek looks of the DEH-X5700BT hide a sophisticated extra function: MIXTRAX. This technology mixes the user’s favourite tracks in a fluent and dynamic DJ-style, while showing accompanying light effects on the RGB display.
DEH-4700DAB & DEH-X6700DAB DAB digital radio
The new DEH-4700DAB and DEH-X6700DAB offer users the digital sound quality and convenience of DAB radio. The Time Shift function also allows users to rewind, pause and resume music from DAB transmissions as they wish. Both models also have an RDS FM tuner, a CD player and a 4×50 Watt MOSFET amplifier on board. Two stereo RCA output ports enable additional connection of one or two amplifiers for more speaker power or to drive subwoofers. The DEH-X6700DAB adds MIXTRAX functionality, as well as Colour Customisation, to change screen and button illumination colours to one of the 210,000 RGB colours.

The FH-X720BT is a sleek, flush mount double DIN device, equipped with a large display offering Colour Customisation, making it possible to choose any of the 210,000 RGB colours for the screen and button illumination. The FH-X720BT also offers extended Bluetooth connectivity, making it possible to connect two smartphones at the same time. Another Bluetooth highlight, Wireless Audio (AVRCP 1.5), allows music browsing and playing from iOS and Android smartphones. iPhone users can also use the Siri Eyes Free feature for voice commands, to easily browse their music collection, make phone calls and more. The integrated MIXTRAX technology mixes the user’s tracks using DJ-effects, while showing light effects on the RGB display. The FH-X720BT also has an RDS FM tuner, a CD player and a MOSFET 4×50 Watt amplifier.

Pioneer is excited to launch their all-new rich, high quality sound mechless MVH single DIN car stereo systems. The MVH-X370BT, the MVH-270DAB and the MVH-170UI are no longer equipped with a CD mechanism but with have a whole lot more to offer instead.
All three MVH-systems feature a high quality FM RDS tuner and an illuminated USB front input, which can be used to connect and control an iPod/iPhone or an Android smartphone. Other USB devices can be connected too, with ample power (1A) available on the USB port, making it easy to recharge even the latest and most powerful smartphones. When accessing music files from an iPod/iPhone, an Android smartphone or another USB device, browsing actions are faster now than ever before, making it quick and easy to select your favourite tracks whilst driving.
