Week Forty-Two: In Which There’s Going To Be Bass Testing & A DAB Conference

Hi Folks, this week, I am still getting over the fabulous and bizarre feeling of winning a major trade award, news below, nearby. But last week I did manage to get at some of the bass systems I have here to tackle. I got the Infinity Kappa 120.9 tested and had the single finest engaging-with-the-writer comment in an entire career. The comment is under the review here: link and is full of further detail, concurring with my findings, thankfully, which tends to prove I wasn’t fibbing and can tell. Thanks for joining in, Akop, a.k.a. ZAKOH on the forum. You are a diamond! I also have the JBL MS12SD2 sub installed and the bones of the specifications written, so I aughta have that for you this week, too. And I really will get that beefy Fusion active bass box out to test.
I am losing a couple of days this week to odd things. One is the annual trade show called Tackle & Guns (!) and the other is at the BBC Broadcasting House to be a correspondent for CAR magazine (very excited to be called a ‘˜correspondent’ for them) to attend a ‘digital radio media briefing and conference event at the BBC It’s the first digital radio conference to address transition from an automotive perspective looking at the 37 million vehicles needed to be converted as part of the UK transition to DAB.’
As I was at the launch of DAB at BH some years back, I am chuffed to be going and will report here too, as this is heavy stuff. Must crack on as I’m writing on the Sunday night to publish early and get to the trade do tomorrow!
