Week Thirty-Eight In Which I Have a Busy Little Week Ahead

Tomorrow, as ever is, I am due to go to the British Film Institute IMAX cinema, famously located in the middle of Waterloo Bridge roundabout on the South Bank. It’s for a preview/press screening of the first time the iconic Raiders of the Lost Ark is to be shown in Imax. That means massive audio in discrete full range 5.1 and that screen, so much bigger even than the one in Uxbridge. The exec at the PR firm who organised my interview with the Canadian technical experts and my outing to do the Imax story (be sure to check out the bat flying through the back stage shot at 3:02 in the video!) said she loved the article and now, I am going to the Imax again! At present, I have no ‘˜Plus One’ as wife can’t get time out of the grown up job (medical sec) and son may be too cool to go out with dad at 17
Then, on Wednesday I am due to go see the folks at Alpine Electronics to talk about the next set of kit to get a look at on the site and have a spot of sushi, which I am looking forward to. Then on Friday, I had thought it was press/trade day of the National Audio Show at the posh hall in Northamptonshire. But there is no press day I do so miss those days when this was THE show and had a press day and was in Heathrow. But sadly the big show in Bristol each spring seems to have won. My editor didn’t even know about this one and I only found out by accident! But in any case, a lot on
I have some sweet new news stories to bring you, so while I have to get the £800 JBL Loft series home speakers tested and written up this week, I also have other stuff I want to swap around in the 12 Volt test rig. So, as ever, I’ll go get on.
