Astro Aza Swags Parksafe’s Daylight Runners

HOW TO GET SPONSORED STUFF FOR YOUR CAR! LIST AT END!
The world of car audio and electronic enhancement of cars, requires, oddly CARS to do the stuff to. And on the one hand, while we have serious commercial reasons for wanting to get some examples to look at and assess, like a builder has to build a show home even if to damn well demolish before the estate of houses is opened in order that the buying public can see how well a thing looks or works in the real world.
So, as editor and with a by the way sexy record number of well over 120,000 of you different folks popping to see Talk Audio (forums, mostly, of course, muh!) as visitors a month, I get some really sexy opportunities to SWAG stuff to lucky reader-viewer-visitors. This is glorious fun and hard work as I have to pack and post by hand a dozen items or more at a time. Proper post room labour for an hour or three last time! I pay for the postage out of the runnings and go oop the post office for you guys. Mind you, I do take some time to get the stuff out as the rate of anyone ever bothering to ever say a thank you afterwards can be depressingly low!
Anyway, I swag a set of these:

and start a Facebook thing to find a suitable vehicle and hopefully happy recipient. I thought I had but was wrong, as the prospective owner was on a huge mission with a major install and saw this as nothing , really, asking in the next breath if I could feed his sense of entitlement with an £800 product without the merest shred of indication WHAT the givers’ actual return on investment would be, other than the obvious privilege of serving his ego.
Damn, I am ranting now! But the truth is, the right car and person is ALWAYS hard to find. For reference, there are certain qualities that need to shine through to be a good candidate to get sexy sponsorship and freebies, so let’s be constructive and lay them out for you.
1) Be nice and friendly. Those known for strop, venom and grump are NOT good press.
2) Be a person who shows up at shows all the time. If I see you every time I work, it rubs off.
3) Be a winner! Seriously, the more famous you get at a competition format, the likelier it is to happen
4) The craftsmanship matters, no-one EVER got sponsored by hiring another to do their car except certain extreme youth cases and HighDown punter Nathan ‘˜Shakey’ Carey whose Cerebral Palsy precluded his doing the car.
5) Give good media and be a showman. This means DO NOT LOCK YOUR CAR AND LEAVE AT SHOWS! If your ride is fab, show it off, be cool on video clips if cams get pointed at you, have an opinion
6) Do NOT act like you feel ENTITLED, a tiny shred of pleased and thrilled goes a long way!
OK, with that off my chest, I can reveal that the super-installers at Oxford Car Audio are going to do the install for our man Aaron in his sexyful Golf GT TDi, here:

And here is the lucky dude with his car!

RRRight lets do the unpacking video, finally..

Oooh they were blinding that close up! The camcorder had a moment of aperture-reduction I reckon!
