Week Forty A Little Bit Of Post-Bassus Tristesse!

With a feeling of deep guilt at my infidelity to the mad folie-a-deux, that is the Hircocks, I have a new favourite pair of basshead nutters. They don’t feature in my recent video about bass head couples but are heroes. (I cannot put YouTube links here but have just popped it under TATV Interviews as well as all my videos living on my YouTube channel called Presenterbloke) At the Brands Hatch EMMA sound off finals, I witnessed these two after their moment in the SPL lane, both having had a big boom session happily parked up. They both were like a couple of honeymooners after, well errrm
Modified Live saw the UK finals and Celsus sponsored the 2013 league trophies, which was cool, complete with a John Griggs to help dish out the certificates with individually personalised engraved glass plaques to be posted on to the winners afterwards. Mark Baker of Celsus said, ‘Celsus were delighted to be the sponsor of the league trophies again. We care about sound off competitions and always have.’
I personally had such a ball this year, with the Vibe sponsored Battle Wagon finally able to clear its throat and roar due to the addition of a Clarion CZ702E CD tuner with large competition grade outputs, that coming to the sign off at the end of the season was an emotional moment for me, even if Griggs did insist on getting the last word on the P.A.!
We also saw a happy camper in the shape of Mark Smith, whose Alpine deck also arrived in super quick time enough to just get it installed, no tweaking, no twerking. Yet like the Battle Wagon, it was stonking and took him to a well deserved win.
I’ll go work on the pics and video clips of the EMMA finals and have found a couple more bits to pop onto the video system that is TATV, so keep an eye on that. Our own YouTube-plus video content management system is here for the one-clickers: link
