Week Fifty Happy Birthday Donny, Corrie and ME!
Like that shorty Scot Claire Grogan once sang, ‘Iiiiit’s ma birrrthdeee. Happeee Berrrthdeee..!’ Yes, on this very auspicious day of the year, Donny Osmond, the youngest of the Mormon Osmond brothers (well if you don’t count little Jimmy) was born. Also the soap Coronation Street.

So today, I have taken the outrageous liberty of writing my Monday This Week thingy a little in advance so I can post it all the easier ‘˜this’ morning, knowing that would be better, in retrospect! And that set of tenses is positively Whoovian in its complexity! So, erm Future Conditional Pluperfect, anyone?
Tomorrow, December the 10th, if you read this on publication day, is the day of the meeting with a very select group of journalists. Those whom have been selected by the CEA to get to Las Vegas to the CES as scholarship journalists. It’s also the day the UK’s freelance tech writers get together for our very own Christmas ‘˜do’. Dubbed ‘˜Techmas’ it’s all about the writers and PRs, bullying food and drink out of any sponsor they can. Said sponsors are hoping that later in the year, these writers recall the beers they swagged! I’m sure it’s going to lovely.
I confess that it will be a short week as I still kinda want to take the ninth as a ‘˜me’ day. Just one a year after all and tomorrow is of course TERRIBLY important! No really, it is
So, I shall do something nice to celebrate.
As I haven’t given any of their stuff away for a bit, I want to do a JL Audio Christmas Swag! I have a lanyard (thing to hang a show pass from) and some Tax Disc holders as well as BEANIE HATS!
