Week Twenty-One Countdown To The Modified Nationals
Latest News for Rayner and the Modified Nationals is that I am to be the utterly magazine-informal Ice Judge of the sixteen show cars at the Nationals. Asked by a head Dodo, I will have a shufty at them all lined up and shiny on Saturday morning. (So nice to see a Dodo win a BAFTA last night, by the way. Good coverage for the species on Sky3D.) Also, I am going to make an access video for both the Propper Droppers and dB Drag Racing bass competion formats. I want to make a video that introduces the Charismatic Big Dog Of Bass in charge, who are of course Darren Millard and Marcos Barnes and then just shows you. ‘What is Propper Droppers?’ & ‘How Does dB Drag Racing Actually WORK?’ There. Working titles for them..unless you have better suggestions? But the idea is to press play and then know all about how it works.
In other news, I just did the Pioneer MVH-F360BT mechless deck for Fast Car. It has the ASR digital enhancer that gets at your digital signal to expand it and does some clever detail interpolative stuff that Pioneer don’t even bother to brag about any more. Likewise, it is the ONLY headunit brand to offer up an internal bass filter and the choice to hook a woofer straight to the 70W bridged outputs of the onboard chip amplifier! This also has been out for ever and they do not shout about it any more. But what if I fixed up a conest? Where you tried to make the biggest bass on one of these decks. I called a Pioneer executive type and well, he seemed entertained at the prospect.
Also, as said last Monday, I shall be working for EMMA as prize presenter from the indoor stage on the Sunday at Modified Nationals. And then of course, despite having been there on numerous occasions, I got the basic location of the T-20 meet wrong.. daft git. OK, cracking on
