Week Thirty-Three And Adam’s Swag Finally Went

Well, I was a bit huggy feely with a few folks at IMM, so I have no idea exactly whom shared that summer cold with me, but it kinda messed me up for a week. And yes, men DO get it worse. Today I have actually done some editing and published the tale of the IMM seen from the point of view of the deeply dedicated AudioCrew folks. They of the dual Mini and Car Audio obsessions. I had to edit my butt off, as I also received the copy he sent to the Mini Magazines and nicked bits to weave it into one. Like, the Talk Audio Forum Boards’ ‘greef’, I am a Yoghurt Weaver. But it is good stuff and ‘minitaz’ also known as Dan Stradling, is a hench fellow. The pictures are a lift of the AudioCrew’s IMM gallery. My personal Big Ups go to the dudes who looked after me, John Nash and Joe Hunter.
The lad Adam Elson finally got his Big Swag parcel after Interparcel via TNT let me down. I used Parcelmonkey instead! Can you believe that TNT do NOT card a premises if they don’t get the door answered? (or some pillock knocks on the wrong one) They aught not be taking on domestic work of this kind, in my personal opinion, as they are really a business to business delivery outfit. TNT will slap the competition on a pallet price, mind. (Quick Ronnie Corbett aside they were once used by Pioneer to deliver 5,000 brochures on a pallet because of a clerical error. Who recalls that?) I am afraid I got aerated with Interparcel and even engaged with the credit card company to stop it, as it made me look as though I was not following through. But Adam E. posted a Facebook shot of its arrival the very next day at 8am!
I had used CityLink via Parcel Monkey, as mentioned and my word, the East European courier with the unmarked van was kinda goddess like. Tough, blonde, slight and not tall, yet all girly muscles, along with a crisp Slavic manner. I had no idea which nation, as her English was barely accented. But she was 24 karat and lovely to open the door to. I could be an expert reviewer of courier services, believe me! I think the lack of signage on her van, means she is working self employed and they are ALWAYS the best sort. Oh and UPS utterly rock!
There are some fabulous things going on out there right now, with the Ground Zero van quietly getting insured to drive by close chums of the company people we see at sound offs. Yes, a VERY select few are chosen to basically go arse about in it for a fortnight at a time. Damn I SO want to have a go, for in my perverted world, I like a system that can be driven, rather than be sky-anchored, even on one of our Arnot Francis’ massively hench 12V DC power supplies! There is an SPL point above which you cannot effing see to drive and yet any OEM or stock system in production cars, is able to play loud enough to drown out the outside world. So, the ‘˜TOO LOUD IS DANGEROUS’ only applies to your actual hearing and only above the midbass zone. Ha! See what I did there oh dear, I AM convalescent if I think that was witty. For yes, midbass are distributors of Ground Zero. And their proper hearing damagers are those bullet tweeters. Be careful, if it hurts, they are the only demons in our party.
And the guys who are Cerwin-Vega UK have made one hell of a wagon, one I want to feature properly, that is going to all the right shows and making one hell of an impression. Their PT Cruiser is carving, again all right now!
Summer’s here, with storms to rip yer roof off, so remember
WINDOWS DAHN, then up, then down, then UP and anywayTUNES UP!
