Vegas Or Bust!!!

I have a wonderful announcement to make. Talk Audio is Going To Las Vegas! The Winter Consumer Electronics Show has the biggest collection of our kind of kit anywhere in the world. Companies from everywhere unite to sell to each other and that can mean patented technologies like the front-magnets system for woofers and so forth. Products are released, new ones are planned based on reverse engineering other people’s and huge amounts of crucial meetings are held. Trade and press only, the planes to Vegas are like busman’s holidays and if you go close to show time, you are guaranteed to meet lots of people you know on the plane! Nowadays the genre is called In Vehicle Electronics by the Americans and we love it! The best demo cars and the press are treated like royalty, free breakfast, lunch and computers and a nice roller bag usually!

The enlightened companies that are shelling out a bit extra to get me over there are Clarion, Midbass and TDR. Midbass have a huge story to launch over there about Vibe USA and have some right archetypical demo cars to do it with that we’ll be featuring. TDR are the US Amps and RE Audio people these days and their boss is an old ‘Vegas hand who will be showing me things there I have never seen before, I feel!

Back at home the big battery rig has been configured to take a beefy bass amp once more and after the ovals test has been run, we’ll get on with some woofers. I have Rockford, SPL Dynamics, Massive and Cerwin-Vegas here to play with.
