ALPINE FILMING DAY – DONE LIKE NETFLIX!

These days, the video clip is king. There are those who like a read and the electronic reader (Kindles, Kobos, kith and kin) is a ‘˜thing’ now, despite their sales reducing and ‘˜real’ books (as well as real vinyl) rallying somewhat, which I adore almost as much as ‘Pearl Caprice’. The lass is a darling retro model from the USA, who lives and breathes her 1940s style. (Facebook Link) She reads real books and plays records.
I enjoy recording video material with the outfits whose kit I write about. I have made videos with folks from Alpine, Celsus for JL Audio and their other brands, Clarion, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer and many others. Triumphs include a recent video with Jason Bradbury in it, from the Gadget Show, filmed after the last Gadget Show Live show performance at the NEC. ‘The Alpine DeLorean!’
It was Chris Bennett who suggested we do a slew of video at once and then release them piecemeal. This was a great idea and we would do like, eight clips in a day and that was what started me out as a real Youtuber. My views are at 3,155,414 roughly. With 4,377,430 minutes watched by 2,558 subscribers.
And at that point, I realised that if you DO enjoy the stuff I make, you will tend to bingeor return, knowing there is more. So just – but only just – ahead of Netflix deciding that this was the best way to release new series of top end TV, I thought I would publish the latest collection of videos made at the Alpine HQ in Coventry in one fell swoop. They have been up a while to stew gently, with the viewing figures nothing like what one might expect. The most popular of them is the one about an under-seat woofer.
Thus, gathered here for your delectation are those Alpine vids. You can bookmark and come back to find them all here.. enjoy.
First, Ashley Booth’s Scirocco

The add-on amplifier that really ups the SQ. Plug and play simplicity.

Alpine, Apple Carplay and the iLX-700 in Mitch Pirie’s testbed car.. he is SO happy to be doing this for a living.

This the new graphic look of Alpine’s navigation for 2015. They do not change this every year by any means. This is the new INE-W990T double-DIN unit.

Do you drive a posh Mercedes people-shifter? This is the nuts for Vito and Viano.

And here is the eight inch multimedia screen product, the X801D-U.. mechless, no disc spinner.

Ashley Booth reveals Alpine Style for the VW T5 van crew. And also for Landy folks.

Odd, tiny and nondescript, this is the future for some cars. Called Semi-OEM.

A really cute SWE-815 bass system I have looked at before..and once got fitted to a friend’s son’s car.

And this one, has taken off and has by far the most views go figure!!

I do hope you agree, that both Ash Booth and Mitch Pirie of Alpine, give good video.
