Four gauge power and signal wiring kit from Audison Connection with a wide blister pack showing the products in separate sections. The packaging features a lot of information printed on the back card, with ‘How to increase the power performance of your system’ laid out neatly with diagrams. There is also a large colour diagram called ‘Connection system for Mobile Multimedia’ printed there, too.

The cables in this set were lovely and soft and flexible, although it was “room”, rather than “garage” temperature in winter! The fuseholder looks electrically sound as a pound with very few connection points between conductor and fuse element but was flimsy and could be trashed by simply dropping it I reckon. Looks sexy though. (As does the rest of the range, which is extensive and has some awesome combination blocks to choose from.) The main Four gauge wire was measured at a 9mm diameter overall and with a 6.5mm (both approx) diameter of the internal conductor.
The RCA cord looked a bit skinny but has well designed twisted conductor-lay I gather and one end has right angled plugs on. They are described as tug resistant, so they are less likely to stop working if some drongo unplugs by pulling the wire instead of the plug. There is a tough piece of conduit ready-fitted to the ground cable which comes with one well terminated end where some of the lesser sets leave it all to you to do. The bag of bits it comes with is good and includes butt connectors and spades for speaker wire ends to go on lugs on speakers.
All very pretty and well presented and should look good with Audison kit. I suspect this to be high end performance but have old school prejudices about those RCAs. I’m sure they are awesome and thicker ain’t necessarily better as long as the shielding really works – but that’s another, higher-tech test with an oscilloscope and we don’t got one yet!
