Audison Gives a Digital Voice to Car Sounds
Italian design supremo Audison has launched a series of car amplifiers to complement its world beating Voce car speakers. Leaning heavily on the research and development that went into its now legendary Thesis Venti amplifiers, VOCE amplifiers offer the option of taking a digital signal directly from a Audison bit ONE or bit TEN D processor ensuring a perfectly clean signal is presented to the analogue amplifying stages.
AV Uno is a mono amplifier based around a revolutionary twist on traditional topography, mixing the finest audio characteristics of class AB with the efficiency and dynamic power delivery of class D. This new technology known as POD (Power On Demand) combines with a radical processor controlled ‘˜blown air’ cooling strategy to deliver a massive 1,700 Watts into 1 Ohm. On-board filters provide the flexibility to use Uno as a standalone mono block or to be coupled with a second Uno creating a dual mono system providing powerful full-range of the highest quality.
AV due This bridgeable stereo amplifier is capable of producing 2 x 260 Watts RMS into 4 Ohms or 1 x 900 Watts when bridged into 4 Ohms. Sophisticated temperature monitoring and processor controlled fans look after thermal management delivering the right amount of cooling depending on ambient temperature and how hard the electronics are being pushed thus saving energy and reducing fan noise at low listening levels. An on-board crossover adds system flexibility and when used in bridged mode to drive subwoofers, a SUB level control can be connected to give drivers complete control.
AV Quattro A 4-channel amplifier built for complex system arrangements and capable of running four, three or two channels and delivering up to 800 Watts RMS. On-board 24 dB/Octave crossovers add further system build options and a clean signal feed is available for connecting multiple amplifiers. As with all amplifiers in the Voce range, the Quattro features a fast-acting signal dependent switch-on circuit for connection to sources without a specific remote switch output.
AV 5.1k EISA award winning, highly flexible five-channel amplifier with on-board crossover circuitry. The AV 5.1k can be configured to run an active two-way component speaker system with plenty of power left to drive a substantial subwoofer. Its hybrid design provides two high quality, 250 Watt RMS AB class channels, two 75 Watt RMS pure A class channels and a 1s000 Watt RMS D class subwoofer output. Combined with the optional AV bit IN digital input module, the 5.1K provides astonishing performance and has already been selected by journalists from all over Europe as car amplifier of the year winning it the highly prestigious 2011 EISA award.
AV bit IN is an optional digital interface for all of the AV amplifiers offering a perfect digital connection to Audison bit One and bit Ten D audio processors.
Fitting the AV bit IN ‘Digital Interface’ to any of the Voce amplifier series, via the AD Link connection, allows the S/PDIF digital signal to be fed directly to the high quality internal D/A converters and then immediately on to the amplifying stages without any degradation from long signal paths. The result is extremely high quality music that cannot be achieved with an analogue system. AV bit IN offers AD and AC Links in and out for use with multiple amplifiers.
A digital panel with 3-character display and four switches allows for remote configuration and system adjustment.
Audison VOCE amplifiers are available now from any FOUR MASTER or FOUR outlet and range in price from £699.99 – £999.99 and £119.99 for the digital input module
