They represent a world first in high end car amplifier design. As you may or may not know, amplifiers come in different ‘classes’. Class A is on-all-the-time, uses huge amounts of electricity and is widely regarded as the very best for fidelity. Class A/B is good and can be made posh but is regarded as being a tiny bit less superb sounding than Class A yet can allow bigger power to be made when wanted. Class D is all about huge efficiency and thus big watts for your electricity used and is mostly used to make big bass watts with whatever power you have available.

Audison is proud to introduce the LRx ABD Class models. Overcoming the huge challenges associated with car audio: LRx 5.1k and LRx 3.1k are the first two models to offer ‘A Class Biased’ channels to drive the detailed high frequency section, AB class channels to drive the dynamic woofer section combined with the highly efficient D-class technology for the high output subwoofer section, all in the same heat sink.

The LRx 5.1k represents Audison’s solution for two or three-way plus subwoofer systems design, with the potential to actively ‘tri-amp’ a complete speaker system, with 2 x 50w high-end ‘A Class Biased’ channels for tweeters or midrange, 2 x 250w AB class channels for the mid and/or woofer drivers and a powerful 1,150w D-class mono channel for power starved subwoofers.
