Big Brother Veba is Watching YOU

Veba have created a new range of cameras, television monitors and A/V accessories. They are being targeted towards a new audience. Previously, the Veba range of small cameras have been targeted towards the passenger car and light commercial market. This latest range caters for a much wider automotive industry audience that now includes vans, buses, coaches and HGV. As well as offering a driving aid for reversing, these products can be used both as surveillance and safety devices, placing Veba into a new market. There are 12 new cameras available ranging from an ultra mini design that can be used both internally and externally for surveillance, to a heavy-duty night sound & vision camera, which contains 28 LEDs and a microphone. Ideal for use with lorries. All of the cameras have a minimum of IP67 water and dust resistance rating and have been designed for custom installation. Unique in the market in that any of the cameras can be connected to any of the monitors offered. Allowing the installer to select the most appropriate size and fitting variant.

To support this new range, Veba are offering accessories that enable the user to customise their install. The accessories collection will include switcher boxes and a super-duty monitor which allows up to 4 separate camera images to be displayed on a single screen at once. (Now that’s COOL and a Big New Thing in-car! Ed.) Camera preferences can also be set so that when the reverse gear or left and right indicators are engaged the relevant camera angle will be displayed on the monitor to highlight the driver’s blind spots. Full wiring looms will be supplied with the product with the option of additional extension looms for larger vehicles.
