C-KO TM504C

A wireless tyre pressure and temperature sensor system with LCD display unit with backlight and over/under pressure and temperature warning facility and the ability to display up to eight tyres per unit.
The system comprises four chunky replacement valves for going inside your tyres to replace the regular Schrader valves. These have sealed batteries inside them, are marked as to which wheel they should go within and are rated to last five years on their batteries. The display unit has a small power socket for charging from the cigar lighter and displays an image of the car with large numerical LCD display for pressure, smaller ones for temperature and a red led and beeper inside for alerting the driver of conditions exceeding the user-set parameters. It can be clipped to a vent grille or mounted on a sticky pad. (clip provided but no sticky pad)

Review by Adam Rayner
The C-KO Tyre pressure and temperature pressure system is a useful tool for all drivers, but especially those with serious loads to carry (like heavy duty audio installations) or else with fabulously posh low profile tyres. The installation took a moment or two to work out by my tyre fitters, as they didn’t use the washers correctly, so the breeze leaked out at first. Them they worked out which washer went where and the thick rubber armour all over the chunky pressure sensors/valves serves as a seat for the valve once it’s been installed. Then, you get the display unit a bit like an inch and a half of a medium Toblerone bar in shape and simply plug it in. the 12V adapter is straightforward but you really do not need to ‘properly’ weave the wire into your world as you really do have to for a screeny-sucker navigation system, as once charged, the battery lasts for yonks. It can be switched on and off but the display unit and sensors alike have vibration switches within them, so they only work when you are driving and do not waste their power the rest of the time.
You set the pressure units and decide how hot they can get, as well as what pressures represent over- and under- pressure tyre conditions. Vital for the puncture that leaks on the motorway and then heats the tyre to blow out. This system will alert you by a decently loud and cutting BEEP! If your pressure drops. Likewise, you can go track day hooning and keep an eye on the temperature. Remember Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder? A chunk of the rookie’s training was how to preserve his tyres. With this, you can drive like an arse on the track and get the maximum use out of your posh trackie rubbers without letting them get so hot as to shred them. Simple, small and moronically easy to set up, this is one little accessory that anyone who cares about their rubber can really use. Similar systems exits on posh marque cars as OEM, so it makes sense. Heartily recommended.
