CES Day One, Take Two

OK Folks! Yesterday it was a moral victory as I got into all the web techy bits I needed to but then lost the piece in transmission – so now I’ll be doing it the pukka way but also simply mailing the boss with the pix and words as well. I shall not be thwarted! (You know, in all the years I have done this, that represents a serious loss of copy for me – I have never lost a big chunk of work!)
Where to start? Well the bits I sent yesterday afternoon at UK time of eleven PM would be a good place.
First off, the amazing follow up of the Jackhammer story. See Hammer Your Brains Out” and learn about the might that is the MTX Jackhammer 22 and then discover that the MTX people have released Son of Jackhammer at the CES this year and called it simply, Jackhammer 24.
It is 24 inches wide and it is square. It pushes as much air around as a six of MTX’s baddest 9515 fifteens and it runs at a fat four kilowatts, able to cope with 12kw peaks. It weighs even more than the old one at some 400lb or nearly 23 stones and is the baby of Alan Cross, acoustic alchemist with MTX.
Lloyd Ivey, the father of modern sound offs and a god in our industry, was quoted as saying, “I have heard about the recession but I have decided that I won’t participate!” (When asked if developing something so awesome in the current climate was wise.)
Here it is, with Alan.

After that, I went walkabout and saw some fun stuff. the big hog motorcycle with the sexy audio install.

Lovely perpangular purple beast thing…..

Pretty Chickie on the Cadence stand – I must get a shot of the 34 inch woofer in instant-see low res, too!

This sexy Escalade

Vibe have three new minis to see – here’s a sneak preview….

And I met an old mate and a legend. The Man Who Told The UK About The 33Hz Clitoral Resonance Frequency!!

Todd Ramsey – a seriously well connected man who deals with the CEA and organises the USA MECP programme.

Must
go and get some more stuff now, and perhaps have a go at sending in a
video (I have to downlaod a DivX conerter here for that, so we’ll see)
For the time being, I’ll sign off but keep checking up on new stuff.
Adam :-))))
