Coat Of Many Colours

It’s definitely Spring round my way – the snowdrops are up and the sap is rising. It always makes me think of the show season. In the past, this has meant the Doncaster show as the season opener but nowadays there are some other t’ings a g’wan even earlier, like yesterday’s StreetBassers meet at SCR Audio in Ashford Middlesex. They will be having more of the same on Sundays 29th March, 26 April and 31st of May. Not a contest but a happy bass headz meet-up. Go see SCR Audio for more. (Slightly funny but they had issues with the boomage yesterday, so do check before going expecting to boom . They may move it to the Saturday or simply use their HQ as a meeting point.)
Not certain as yet just how many entrance-charging shows there will be this year but we will try to get along to a goodly few of them, ideally dressed in a dead gaudy Talk Audio MA1 jacket (in size XXXXXL for me) resplendent in as many manufacturers’ embroidered logotypes as I can manage. I figure it’s long-term Prime Site Branding as my back is wider than most, a little higher up than most as I’m six-two and often on stage presenting politically incorrect bikini contests (odd sideline for a serious reviewer I guess but someone has to do it and a fat bloke makes the babes relax as I don’t really register on their Bloke-Alert radar…) so they will get seen by a wide audience.
I was dead impressed by the Rockford Fosgate shallow woofer tried last week and will be getting at another, more regular design bass maker next, along with finally getting to grips with the Bass Mekanik VLS-1 LF processor from US Amps. I have absolutely NO idea exactly how it works or what it does and that piques the old low-frequency-range curiosity.
