Diamond Audio’s Bob Chanthavongsa is Diamond Geezer!

Diamond Audio have a decent following in the UK and Paul Richardson of link a holder of the current Gold Installer Of The Year award from the trade magazine Mobile Electronics News, had a small and very specific dead speaker problem. Paul’s customer had killed a midbass in his expensive and sexy set of Diamond Audio Hex Pro component speakers and needed a replacement. We got directly in touch with the USA manufacturers as it wasn’t clear when the next shipment would be arriving by sea.
One e-mail to the Diamond Audio company and specifically to the Most Excellent Bloke Bob Chanthavongsa, a top honcho there and he dives into his product vaults and comes up with something Paul’s customer could use in the meantime from the Hex series. For the thing is, these are not mass market items made in heaps but rather high-end products manufactured in demand-led ‘˜runs’ and they had not got a sequence of this speaker scheduled to make.
So a huge ‘˜big up’ and Chrstmas Talk Audio cheer to a Diamond Geezer, who proves that just because a company is American, they can still care about every single end user of their product. And this was done before they had any inkling I’d be posting their sweetness in the news! I know it cost Paul some dosh in import fees too and it must not have been cheap to airfreight the speakers for Bob either.
