Elipson’s new Music Centre features HD playback and Google Chromecast audio

These days, the humble wee Bluetooth speaker, which was once merely a honk box to extend a telephone’s sound level, has become a serious product that now occupies the ‘discerning folks’ quality hi-fi space. What was once a stack system, has become an all in one and also, being a sexy design statement is vital. This product, from iconic French brand, Elipson, comes in a variety of handsome colours and has some serious architectural ironmongery available to mount the unit with great elegance. Elipson is proud to announce the launch of the Music Centre Black edition featuring Bluetooth HD wireless and Google’s Chromecast Audio for full high res. multi-room streaming capability. Design by Jean-Yves Le Porcher, this new version of their highly successful Music Centre boasts an attractive black satin finish chassis for the stylish circular case and touch sensitive user interface under the CD slot.

The circular case hides 2 x 120W audiophile quality class-D amplifier modules using ICE Power technology. A comprehensive range of connections is specified, including RCA inputs, an optical input, a USB port, a pre-out RCA, 3.5mm mini jack, front facing headphone jack and a SUB output featuring an adjustable filter to cover frequencies between 50 and 200 Hz. Complimenting the MP3 compliant CD player function, an RDS DAB+ FM tuner adds the finishing touch to this versatile receiver.

For wireless connection, this new Music Centre HD Black is also compatible with the latest aptX Bluetooth HD protocol, enabling playback of high-resolution files up to 48 KHz / 24-bit. It’s perfect for today’s modern smart home installation, thanks to the included Chromecast Audio dongle. This allows the user to connect to the receiver via Wi-Fi directly from a  smartphone, tablet, or computer for lossless, latency-free transmission.

Your signal and dynamic range is boosted to 96 KHz / 2 4 bit for the best audio reproduction without compression and an increased output level to 1.4V / 2V RMS. The Chromecast function also allows you to transform your system into a full multi-room solution when using compatible speakers via the Chromecast App.
