From the research laboratory to the automotive specialist, from the specialist into the vehicle: The European Mobile Media Association (EMMA) presents a new platform for in-car infotainment technologies at Automechanika 2012 and provides drive for new business activities.
This year’s latest mobile infotainment technologies will receive a unique platform at Automechanika. A special exhibition of EMMA in cooperation with their international industry partners, Axion, Audio Design, Audio System, Clarion, Pioneer and Hama will show Automechanika visitors the trends, opportunities and benefits of retrofitting electronic devices for entertainment, communication and navigation in vehicles.
Mobile infotainment is the key to ultimate convenience and pleasure on the road. Latest technologies for the aftermarket integration of mobile devices like smartphones and tablet PCs, head units, hands free phones and sound components into vehicles are the main focus of a special exhibition at Automechanika, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for the Automotive Industry in Frankfurt. At a designated area in hall 4 in-car electronic providers are not only presenting their state of the art line ups but also showing how to integrate and to connect entertainment electronics as well as telematic devices into modern vehicle wiring systems.
Various mobile media solutions are offered as original equipment from the car manufacturer. This looks promising – at least at first glance. At second glance, we might become aware that product cycles for cars are taking much longer than product cycles for mobile electronics and, last but not least, OE car infotainment devices are usually more expensive than aftermarket products. One more reason to go for aftermarket solutions is the fact that the huge range of products and concepts ensures that there is a perfect solution for every individual need and requirement.
“Thanks to the contribution of our exhibiting industry partners and specialists we are able to provide professional know how, high tech products and plenty of new impetus for business concepts to successfully sell and install vehicle infotainment electronics. Our goal is to develop this special exhibition to a top-notch B2B event for those automotive specialists who want to boost their business by offering new products and services. To make the challenge and the opportunities of the aftermarket integration of car media devices visual, we will not only give a new platform for product innovations but also provide information on how to convey the advantage of good quality in-car infotainment to the consumer,” said EMMA Managing Director Alexander Klett.
