Fusion CS-AT1100 Bass Tube Swagged by hydr0 For His Sis!
Regular readers may recall that I gave away a Fusion CS-AT1100 bass tube to one lucky Talk Audio swagee. It’s predecessor is reviewed here: link
A dude called hydr0 on the forums swagged it and told me it was going in his sister’s car. I was promised a well-taken picture or two so as to make a news story, as hydr0 had someone with a A level in photgraphy to help once he’d got the thing and had it installed.
And then it went all quiet.
I fretted a little but was philosophical about winners and folks being happy rather than being annoyed at lack of follow-through. What I didn’t realise, is that the dude had used the forum boards rather than send the pix to me as I asked him! DOH!
So hydr0, sorry I didn’t spot this far earlier (and deeply sorry to have doubted you, Righteous Dude!) and herewith and all that, polished for publishing with capital letters at the start of sentences and stuff, your thread of delight and gratitude. Hugely appreciated by the guys at Fusion – who searched and found this and told me first hand while on a photo shoot the other day!
I Won! Fusion Bass box <3 Talk Audio
Well, after a long time and a while away, the active sub that I won from our very own Adam Rayner is in the KA.
I’ve got a few pics of the install here and i would just like to say it sounds great.
I’m used to a pair of JL Audio 12s in an upward ported and 2in flared tunnel and it was still a delight to drive in the KA with this little 10in. It doesn’t shake the mirrors as much but it still tries its hardest.
I’m actually quite impressed with this sub. I’ve had a 12in Edge sub in there which was also active, can’t remember the wattage but it could not drop as low as this and as Edge look like decent competition for Fusion that’s quite a good result.
