Ground Zero Audio Release Brand New Sound Quality Subwoofer Enclosures

Ground Zero Audio wanted us to tell you about their high SQ subs. For as well as being able to break your bones, with big bass, they now have a new product launch of 10in and 12in high sound quality (SQ) subwoofer enclosures in their Uranium line.
The new Ground Zero Uranium subwoofer boxes are truly engineered for sound quality and quality built in Europe. The two new models are the GZUB 25SQ (10in version), and the GZUB 30SQ (12in version). The sealed style enclosure is ideal for sound quality and produces the most linear frequency response. Both enclosures are constructed of the highest quality European MDF for strength, less vibration and low resonance. The walls are 19mm/0.75in thick on all sides except for the baffle, which is 25mm/1in. All corners are rounded for a smooth appearance. The Ground Zero logo is stitched on the high quality all-black carpet and it matches the twin steel bars that form the grill for subwoofer protection. The terminal cup is wired to both voice coils individually so it can be wired in series or parallel. Both enclosures are available right now and retail for EUR 349 (GZUB 25SQ) and EUR 399 (GZUB 30SQ). Editor’s note, UK prices after shipping across the channel are not yet set.

About the Uranium Subwoofers
The Uranium subwoofers were designed specifically with the SQ competitor and enthusiast in mind. The cast aluminium frames are strong and have minimal resonance. The non-pressed and reinforced paper cone has always been a favourite for smooth, low frequencies. The U-shaped foam surround and black Polycot spider are used for linear excursion and fast response, which improves again sound quality performance. We used a convex IMPP dust cap with no logo for a truly stealth appearance. The dual 50mm/2in copper voice coils are wound on a Kapton former for light weight and linear THD. The pair of 2 Ohm coils allows these 500 W RMS 12in and 400 W RMS 10in subwoofers to be wired to a 4 Ohm or 1 Ohm load to your amplifier. The thick top plate and T-yoke provide a strong gap for the voice coil. The top of the subwoofer is finished with a PVC gasket.
