ICE Champion Smythe

Anthony Smythe is a man of both stature and girth both physically and as an expert competitor at car audio sound offs.
His chosen format is the popular EMMA or European Mobile Multimedia Association scene, which is now huge and attracts all the very finest in Europe to the finals held each year. Anthony owns my kind of car, a big old estate and I have met him at many shows down the years. You can see his fuse rack in the feature about Turners in the gallery but we have some more shots for you here, too.

His success as huge and long served as he has ripped out system after system and fitted another ever yet incrementally better one each time. Now, he has risen from the depths of Rookie where he started to Street, the Street Semi Pro and finally to the dizzy heights of the tough Advanced Unlimited class, where this season he came away from Austria as the EMMA Advanced Unlimited European Champion.
This takes levels of dedication, craftsmanship, acoustic skill and golden eared-ness way beyond what most of us are capable of and marks the man out as one of the all time UK greats up there with Mr. Petrie and Mr. Turner himself.
A well deserved success and one to watch in the 2009 season.
