This just in from JL Audio….news of their brand new C3 speakers that are what’s called ‘convertible’ in that you can mount them as components as normal, as well as use their mounting tech to apply them as a top end coax too. Here’s what JL Audio had to say :

I can tell you they use silk dome tweeters with Neodymium magnets and Ferrofluid cooling and damping (oohh that’s serious! Ed) have injection moulded polymer chassis for the midbasses with JL’s patented Elevated Frame Cooling design and that their passives use a simple first order low pass and a second order highpass network.
For the six and a half inch size, they are 75W RMS in power handling, 90dB efficient and have a declared passband of 48Hz to 25kHz +/-3dB which is amazing!
