Car Audio

JL Audio Sponsored VIP Night at Sextons Pompey TUE March 31.

Regular readers may recall that the JL Audio UK folks sponsored a wicked VIP night at Brian Car Sounds & Security, a few months back. Here, if you missed it, is the link to the BCSS story. Link I never normally write about this but the material on the magazine is all categorised under the drop-down menu and sorts a slew of stories into like-kinds and subsequent pages of like kinds. The biggest time-vampire, is the NEWS page. I reckon I can destroy HOURS of your world with that onedo go see!
As well as video, I also made a gallery of stills of the evening, to give you some flavour. (the link is also in the article at the bottom but I know plenty of you may only press a slideshow button, hence: Gallery
And now, it is the turn of Sextons, Pompey. Located in the premises once filled by Road Radio, Joe Winning and his Master Installer Ant, (that’s MISTER Anthony to me) will be hosting, while JL Audio will be boasting. And it’s all happening on the evening of Tuesday March 31st.
And they got them braggin’ rights! The seriously tasteful JL Audio demo cars will be there, to complement the Sextons Portsmouth demo vehicular flexage and best of all, they are going to feed the VIP crew who go. I will let the words of Chris Bennet, (he of limitless enthusiasm for car audio, way further gone than melifer) explain further

Little bit of history of Sextons Pompey
I’ve known Joe and Ant for many years now. In fact about fifteen years ago Joe used to be a customer of Sextons Portsmouth. (Which used to be called Roadsounds then. ) We first met at a similar open night down there, where Joe auditioned my BMW535i sport IASCA Expert Class european champion demo car.
Joe was so blown away with what he heard on the night, that he immediately commissioned Roadsounds to build him a similar system around what were then the original JL-10W6v1 subwoofers.
In those days, Joe was running his own successful IT business and he was so inspired by what he listened in his daily runner, that he then bought the Roadsounds business and renamed it Sextons Portsmouth.
Ant, his lead installer, has built some incredible car audio systems over the years. They are both highly experienced, having attended all the official JL audio trainings over the years. Their passion and enthusiasm for promoting great audio means that for me, they’re one of the more fun places to visit each month.
On the night, all the team from JL Audio UK will be there with their cars and on hand to answer any questions or offer free advice on system design and how to get the best sound for your pound whatever your budget.
Just for being there you will qualify for exclusive special pricing on all JL Audio products.

So come down to Sextons Portsmouth for a fun packed event to see, listen, and experience some of the best demo cars in the country, that will blow you away and give you a better understanding of what we mean when we say this is ‘how we play’. Like with Joe, you never know what that could lead to one day!
Cheers,
Chris.
So there you go, call, mail, Facebook ‘˜em. But if you like JL Audio, want to learn more, swag a deal, eat pizza (or driftwood BBQ smoked seagull) or just have a good car audio evening locally to learn what cool blokes these two are, then get on the list.
‘Coz if your name’s not on the list, you ain’t coming in!’
