While they were at it they also wanted those of you with ‘no space for any bass’ to know that all is not lost and that they have a cutie pie new effort in the micro sub class. A product that everyone from Mutant to Focal offers, Kenwood are confident that their micro under seat sub, the KSC-SW01 will puzzle you with how well it can make bass, despite being the world’s smallest. (270x70x180mm & 2400gr) A 150w peak power actively amplified item, it uses a specially skinny chassis shallow 160mm woofer driver and has a wired remote control. It can accept an RCA feed from your head unit’s bass output or it can simply connect at speaker level.
A solid little spud, it has a cast Aluminium frame and thus has the rigidity needed to throb from a small space. Expect to pay around £180
