M.E.N. Trade Expo Shaping Up To Be A Corker!

Mobile Electronics News magazine is the organ of the ICE trade. Going out to dealers, makers, distributors and the likes of me, (I also do a review a month for them) It is a really important part of the whole scene. As well as the black tie awards dinner event in October, to award the great and the good, both products and people, they also run a two day trade exhibition.
This is when dealers and buyers are able to come along and have face time with the top bods at the likes of Kenwood, Alpine and many more, like Park Safe, who do daylight running LEDs and so forth. They can handle and try out the stuff and cut trade deals right there at the show.
I have had an excitable call from Celsus ICE who are unveiling something they tell me will get me definitely professionally erect, to the point where I am expected early to film the thing before the show opens on day one, Tuesday 5th March.
It is at the Ricoh Arena, up the A444 off the M6 near Coventry and is cretinously easy to find, even without a sat nav.
The Digital Radio UK folks will be about and there are special launch events in a room across the posh atrium at the stadium.

Now, while I love the show, get all excited and happily present the evening ‘DO’ with the daft prize spoof awards – one year I had to read out and award myself the ‘Moobs of the Year’ award. I was mortified but still have the framed item – I have a plea&;.to the huge trade readership that I know Talk Audio has – and I shall slap this in the magical trade forum board on the TA system, as well&;.
Which is that this show depends upon trade footfall and I know that a lot of dealers are feeling the pain and have had a real leaching away of their enthusiasm and love But this show can re-energise and make yours the business that has the keen, the smarts and the new stuff to sell.
So, I implore you, get up, slap yourself around the back of the neck, take some resolve to fight back and TAKE THE TIME TO GO TO EXPO! Yes, it is really, truly worth it and the savage reality behind my whole reason for the story is that if you don’t well I have fears for the continuation of the very show itself.  WE NEED this show and YOU NEED to come!
Even if you send a slightly junior bod, to return to your shop all a buzzing with the new and the hot, you must come&;
