Modified Nationals TV on YouTube

The Modified Nationals show is a well established and for my money the best fun car show of the year. The ONLY one to have been around as long under the same gifted management team, rather than bought, sold, changed beyond recognition and uprooted (and yes, I DO mourn Doncaster in the Springtime) it bloody rocks with wicked cars, awesome sound systems, stars and babes.
Lots of babes.
And magazine journalists from Fast Car and of course Max Power, who are in charge of the breasts this year with the relaunch of the Max Power Babe contest. As well as £250 for the winner with £150 second and £50 third place prizes from the promoters, Max are offering a modelling contract on the mag for a year and a feature in the mag and a portfolio of shots to go with their title as well as getting into Zoo magazine.

My gig this year is a little different……..I am to be to be the show’s Gonzo Videographer!
The YouTube channel is already set up as ModifiedNationalsTV and has some hair tricks from previous years on there. I’m going to record every car club, every exhibitor, stuff from the stages, the Risk Club bike and drift car nutters and even madder UKFMX back flipping moto-psychopaths! I’m going to film on the campsite, I’m going to film on the show car floor and I’m going to generally hose the place down, with the videos going up in lumps for weeks afterwards until the whole lot will be there to re-live for geeing you up for 2011!
One really cool thing from Talk Audio’s point of view at the show is this from top-end ice distributors,  FOUR:
FOUR MASTERS to hold a weekend-long, free of charge Car Clinic for those attending Modified Nationals on May 28th -30th .
The FOUR MASTERS network of independent specialist car audio dealers, has been delivering first rate installation techniques, expert advice and fantastic products for some years now.  If you attend a mainstream modified car show you will always see FOUR MASTERS shouting loud about what they live for! Now, as well as showing and demonstrating great installations, they invite show audiences to have their installs looked at by an expert to safeguard against ill-advised DIY installs which, seriously risk driver and passenger safety.
“The first ever FOUR MASTER Car Clinic held at the Auto Sound and Styleshow in March showed us just how much dangerous practice goes on when unskilled installers are let loose on a car with insufficient knowledge and equipment to carry out even the simplest of tasks” said Brian Parton, Co-Founder of FOUR.
FOUR MASTER Paul Ellis, Source Sounds Sheffieldsaid, after a very busy day; “The market entry price for powerful amps and speakers has come down rapidly, drawing a new audience of DIY installers who really just need a hand with basic safety. Today, I have seen power cables run directly from the battery of a car through holes in a bulkhead, without using grommets, to a powerful amplifier “>in the boot with no in line fuse! When, eventually, the sharp metal of the bulkhead wears through the power cable a serious incident will happen with devastating consequences! Fortunately, those who took the opportunity to have their cars checked by us are now able to make slight but essential modifications to their installs to prevent this from happening.”
But, FOUR MASTER Car Clinics also offer huge benefits to the safety-conscious. All FOUR MASTERS are trained, not only, to install safe HiFi but also great sounding car HiFi and those attending with complete, professionally installed systems are just as likely to go away with great expert advice on how to squeeze more power and better fidelityfrom their equipment.
