MTX POLARIS SLINGSHOT: The International CES, Las Vegas 2015

I visited MTX in the North halls. Their position very near the entrance denotes that they have been exhibiting non-stop for very many years. Clarion used to be in that hall but now use a private suite in what used to be the Hilton. The thing is, they are audio aristocracy in the In Car world and have to have a sexy demo vehicle. Undeniably this year, I saw a trend. Like the Smartcar in Europe one time and before that, the whale tail Escort Cossie that was the desired ride and thus made into a demo car for dealers, this year belongs to the Polaris company.
Makers of the RZR ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) have a crazed three wheeler out for 2015 and as well as about six or seven other four wheel ATVs by Polaris being used for demo purposes by audio outfits, there were three of these. This for me, was the coolest and the guys from MTX clearly DO know me from Adam.
One year, before I had seen Pimp My Ride, since it was on MTV and we didn’t get satellite TV, I was introduced to Xzibit on the MTX stand, by Jason. ‘˜X’ was polite and so was I. I recall wondering if the X pendant he wore really was rhinestones at the time.
It wasn’t.
Anyway, the smartphone compatibility issue is as over as the Truman Show, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay becoming the brand shiny new and unstoppably de-facto phone screen-emulation solutions. Which was hard to read and sadly, even a bit boring. The videos I made with Pioneer are getting seriously low viewing figures versus some, because this maturation means our attention goes to the OOHHHH!
And this IS a bit OOHHH! Meet the MTX Polaris Slingshot, then stuff it with MTX, just enough to rock.
