New Ground Zero Woofers Wobbling This Way
Just released in Germany are these new models of subwoofer in the affordable Radioactive stable from Ground Zero. Born as the refined offspring of deeply nutter-struck bass engineers, they are potent yet won’t strip your wallet. (I mean, I have sat in Mark Smith’s 160dB Plutonium line Ground Zero Volvoat 160dB, save my intestines!) What follows is the release sent from GZ HQ, with minor edit for English word order!
Making Great Things Even Better! Brand New GZRW Radioactive Subwoofers In 10in & 12in
‘Ultimate SPL Performance At An Affordable Price Level’. Has been the main target when Ground Zero developed the new Low-Bass subwoofers in the Radioactive line. As a result, four new models are now ready to be launched.
The new GZRW 10in driver comes in 2x 2 Ohm and 2x 4 Ohm versions the GZRW 10D2 and the GZRW 10D4. The ten features a real high power 2.5in copper voice coil moving within a heavy double-magnet motor. The heart of the two GZRW 12in versions of GZRW 12D2 and GZRW 12D4 house an even a bigger 3in copper voice coil.
Above all the further improvements to their predecessors, it is worth highlighting the reinforced non-pressed paper cones which have been weight-refined again for higher efficiency. The cones are also stitched to the U-shaped high-roll sandwich surrounds with yellow thread. Furthermore, the new steel baskets allow excellent ventilation for the best cooling and low back-pressure. And last but not least, all four new models are equipped with large Polycot spiders to guarantee high linear excursion.
The new Radioactive Woofers are really versatile in usage. They do work well in small sealed, ported and even bandpass enclosures which allows a wide variety of applications.
